Four Filtrol 160 replacement filter bags. Replacement filters must be hand washed, DO NOT put into washing machine to clean.
The Filtrol 160 washing machine lint filter removes non-biodegradable fibers, such as microfibers and microplastics from your washing machine discharge. These fibers are one of the leading causes of septic system and drainfield failure. It also is an effective tool for reducing sewer line plugging for those who are on city sewer.

Saving the earth
Removing microplastics is why we are all here, right? So the question is, “Do these filters do this and do they do it economically?”
The answer to both is, “Yes.”
The mesh size is small enough to remove such plastics but not so small to produce significant back pressure to your washer. Read the website for details or Google it.
Are they durable? A year later, I’m still on my first one. The mounting/sealing ring is strong, durable and rigid, as it should be. The attachment of the bag to this ring is strong. I tried and couldn’t tear it apart. The “open” end of the bag is sewn closed in a strong, durable manner. Cleaning it for reuse is simple: Hang it up to dry (throughly), turn it inside out, “scrub” it gently with a toothbrush as you vacuum away the filtered lint, dispose of the vacuum collection bag in the trash. A perfect system? Only God is perfect; this is the best us mortals can do at this moment. Brava! Bravo!
We have had this filter system for at least 5 yrs. Each filter lasts me at least several months. I can use it over and over again. Usually clean it out after a week or two. Would recommend this system to anyone with a septic tank. Haven’t had to have our tank cleaned in years. We also do not put too many things down our garbage disposal.
